fuzzy wuzzies

march is coming to a close, but it's still windy and chilly here in queens. (save for last night! i met up with a friend at around 7ish, and the weather was glooorious) rather than bundling up in a heavy coat to fight the killer winds, i prefer a few layers of knitwear. layering up in cardigans and sweaters shouldn't always equal looking like a homeless person.

[clockwise from the left: theurbancollection confetti ribbons sweater, rick owens long cashmere cardigan, catherine malandrino cowl neck sweater, eley kishimoto 05-06 knitwear, anthropologie myth & legend cardigan, stella mccartney slouchy d-ring cardigan]

i find that rocking cardigans and sweaters involve playing it up with length, colors, and collars. instead of opting for a typical grey slouchy, long-sleeved sweater a la Grandpa Phil, i like to experiment with bright, pop-out colors that can pull together an otherwise boring look. i also really like interesting collars on sweaters that aren't as commonly seen. i dig the cowl neck look because of its casual appearance and comfy feel. for a more dramatic outfit, lots of rick owens's pieces provide daring lengths and dark, intense colors.

i'm off to finish/get started on schoolwork, blegh!
plenty of love from,
cindy
